What do I need to get a dial-up connection?
- A standard telephone line rental payable to Telkom.
- A computer and a dial-up modem.
- Internet access account from an Internet Service Provider such as Vanilla.
How much does using a dial-up cost?
A dial-up connection costs R69/month, plus you will have to pay Telkom the cost of a local telephone call for every minute that you are on-line. To understand how the cost of a call works, have a look at Telkom Call Costs.
