Billing FAQ
How the billing works
Have you ever wondered about the billing? Vanilla has a set of clearly defined policies for billing.
- Vanilla uses an automated billing system called Billy.
- Invoices are sent by email, and payments are accepted by electronic transfer of funds.
- Vanilla can setup a debit order facility should you require one.
DSL
You will be billed within the first 8 days of every month. If you over-used on your account, this will be added to the next invoice.
If you use upto 600MB of the amount you provisioned for over usage ie. you prepay for 3GB and for the month of November you used 3672MB, which means you over used by 600MB (3672MB-3072MB). You will get an invoice with the following line items on the 8th of December:

If you use over 600MB of the amount you provisioned for over usage ie. you prepay for 3GB and for the month of November you used 3872MB, which means you over used by 800MB (3872MB-3072MB). You will get an invoice with the following line items on the 8th of December:

If you sign up for annual email, you will be billed once per annum starting on the date that your email account has been activated.
eg. If you signed up for email on the 3rd December, and its been activated on the 4th of December: every year on the 4th of December you will receive your bill.
If you signed up for monthly email, you will be billed once per month starting on the date that your email account has been activated, and on that same date every month afterwards.
Dial-up
If you sign up for annual dial-up, you will be billed once per annum starting on the date that your dial-up account has been activated.
eg. If you signed up for dial-up on the 23rd December, and its been activated on the 24th of December: every year on the 24th of December you will receive your annual dial-up bill.
If you signed up for monthly dial-up access, you will be billed once per month starting on the date that your dial-up account has been activated, and on that same date every month afterwards.
Domain names
You will be billed once per annum starting on the date that your domain has been registered, and every year two months prior to that date to confirm renewal.
